About Me
Let’s start with who I am not…..Tim Ferriss.
I am not an expert on the Four Hour Body and I am not going to try to come across like I am. This site was not created to rip him off or ride on his coat tails or to publish portions of his book to others etc etc.
My name is Larry Stefanuik and this blog/site was created because for me it’s a great way to track my results and hold my self accountable to sticking to this plan, not that it’s hard, in fact it is without a doubt the easiest plan I have ever tried and with the most success to date.
**Please be patient while I bring my posts up to date. Delay due to travel and site set up**

I’ll be the first to admit that I have two major faults in my life…
I’m Overweight and I’m Lazy!!
and I know I can get rid of the Fat!
When I say lazy I mean at least in the physical, working out sort of way. Not a workout guy, at least not since high school, although I am active and like to play sports, walk, do physical work and other activities, just not a gym guy.
So needless to say when I first started to examine the inner contents of the Four Hour Body (or as I like to call it, “The Book of Tim”), I was intrigued about the possibility of being able to eat without portioning, still enjoy some crappy food periodically, not work out and still lose weight. Well the decision was made, just didn’t make it right away….remember, I’m lazy.
Having purchased the unabridged copy of the Four Hour Work Week over a year ago and immediately putting it at the top of my list of favorites because of all the great ideas it provoked in reducing wasted time, it gave me confidence that Tim likely put time and research into this book and my money would not be wasted. Also being of the same type of non-conventional mind set made him attractive as a person to learn from.
Without droning on and on (I hate long posts, reading and writing them), here is a brief bio on me;
- Currently 45 years old and at time of book purchase was 6′ & 230 pounds. (According to my $10.00 Wal Mart Scale, so roughly) Waist was 45 1/2″, man boob area was 47″, arms 16″ at bicep, legs 26″ at upper thigh.
- High School Grad, some Post Secondary, lots of self learning.
- Retired Police Officer
- Business Owner and Entrepreneur
- Father of Two amazing daughters and I want to watch them grow very old. (Hence, the weight really needs to come off)
Currently I reside in Canada, the central portion and in the process of moving to the UK. Overall I am healthy, quit smoking cigarettes many years ago and drink very moderately.
My highest weight as an adult was when I was suffering from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and bordered on 250 pounds which was very uncomfortable and not attractive what so ever as this picture to the right will no doubt demonstrate.
My lightest as an adult was mostly around the 200 lb mark, I felt comfortable there, or at least that’s what I told myself. I’ve never had 6 pack abs, I know they’re there, just have trouble locating them under the fat.
The goals I want to accomplish are simple;
- Reach target weight of 190 pounds by September 1, 2011, yup that’s 40 lbs in just under 3 months, with no exercise other then normal activity of walking and being active. I completely believe I can do this.
- At 190 will continue to lose body fat and at same time start kettle bell workouts to increase muscle mass and tone and stay between 185-190 pounds.
- Learn to do an aerial somersault over a wall similar to the guy in Tim’s video onto a beach and record it…..just think it’s cool is all.
- Get back into martial arts and complete my black belt in Kung Fu, having faltered at it when I was younger due to time and financial constraints.
- Have enough muse income to support my family, worthy causes, invest in others and never have to rely on a bank or other sources for credit ever again period.
- Lots of traveling and cool experiences.
- Continue to refuse to accept death as an inevitability. According to Stewie Griffin, it’s the only reason we die, lol!
So I hope you will join me on this journey, I am also opening the site up to others who are trying this change in lifestyle and would like to write about it. To become a Contributor please send me email to larry(at)sendlarryemail.com and I will set you up with an Author id for the site.
All the best to everyone
Larry Stefanuik
